JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing clients and family members with homemaking and/or companion services. This position performs only those duties that are within the extent and limitations of the Homemaker/Companion's authorized activities and experience.

This position is responsible for delivery of quality service, promoting good public relations, and for upholding the mission and standards of the facility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Understanding for the elderly and their needs required. Must have ability to:

- speak, read and write English

- communicate well with families

- perform basic cooking

- perform housekeeping duties

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Valid Nebraska driver's license and the state required minimum automobile insurance coverage required.  Must be at least nineteen (19) years of age.

EDUCATION/TRAINING, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Home health care experience preferred

Homemaker experience in own home preferred
