OUR SCHOOLS

The Columbus Public Schools has an enrollment of approximately 3400 students. The organization of the District provides for seven elementary K-5 schools, a 6-8 Middle School, and a four-year High School. A central media center, a central library processing center and a reading instructional materials center are available. The District presently employs 269 certified teachers.

OUR COMMUNITY

Columbus is a progressive industrial and farming community located in east central Nebraska, 75 miles from Lincoln and 85 miles from Omaha. The city has a population of 20,000; large enough to offer a variety of activities but small enough for person-to-person involvement.
